Responsibilities

• Ported the 400K+ line PRS 4.5 medical software system to Sun Solaris 2.6, upgrading Oracle, SyncSort, and compiler toolchains.
• Converted 16-bit data structures to 32-bit and optimized compatibility for UNIX environments.
• Modernized build and version control architecture.

Accomplishments

• Re-engineered over 85 makefiles and established a unified SCCS tree for efficient configuration management.
• Migrated linking to shared objects, resolved flat-file SQL*Loader issues, and improved runtime stability.
• Delivered to QA two months ahead of schedule and received a contract bonus for early completion.
